Policies & Guidelines

1. Who We Welcome

  • Children ages 4 and up may participate.
  • Neurotypical children must be able to follow directions and classroom rules to ensure all participants receive the attention and care they need.
  • All children begin on a trial basis. If a child consistently struggles to follow directions, we may recommend waiting until a later time to re-enroll.

2. Health & Safety

  • Please notify staff of any allergies, medical needs, or special considerations prior to participation.
  • Sick children (fever, vomiting, or contagious illness) must remain home until 24 hours symptom-free.
  • Parents/guardians must keep emergency contacts up to date.

3. Drop-off & Pick-up

  • Please arrive on time for both drop-off and pick-up.
  • To minimize disruption, children arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted for that day’s class.
  • Children will only be released to parents/guardians or those listed on the approved pick-up list.
  • A late pick-up fee of $1 per minute per child begins 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time.

  • Follow teacher directions
  • Treat others with kindness and respect
  • Take care of supplies and shared space
  • Participate to the best of their ability

5. Behavior & Guidance

  • We use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior.
  • Redirection and gentle reminders are provided as needed.
  • Parents will be notified if disruptive behavior continues.
  • If issues persist, a parent meeting will be scheduled to discuss next steps.

6. Attendance & Cancellations

  • Please notify us if your child will be absent.
  • Refunds/credits are not available for missed classes.
  • If Koi-B must cancel a class, we will offer a make-up class or credit.

  • Photos/videos may be taken during programs and used for Koi-B promotional purposes.
  • Parents may opt out in writing if they do not wish their child to be photographed.

Enrollment in Koi-B Collective programs indicates that families have read and agree to these policies.
